Lyndsey Goddard Photography
I photograph weddings for couples who want uncomplicated, honest, and emotive storytelling of their day. Whether you want to call it documentary wedding photography, reportage wedding photography, or even wedding photojournalism, it all amounts to the same thing; I won’t stop any of the proceedings, set shots up, boss you around, or ask anyone to pose for the camera. In short, you’ll barely know I’m there. This means you can enjoy the day fully knowing every precious moment is being captured. Read more about my approach to documentary wedding photography here.
Winner of ”Best Wedding Photographer in London” and ”Best Wedding Photographer in England” in the 2017 Wedding Industry Awards, and ranked as the world-renowned Wedding Photojournalist Association’s top UK photographer in 2016 and 2019, my unobtrusive, creative, and humorous style has won my countless awards from photography associations in the UK and worldwide.
With a background in Fine Art and qualifications from London’s world-renowned University of the Arts, photography has always been a passion and I am fortunate that it is also my full-time job. Various jobs and projects including travel photojournalism in Cuba, birth photography, and covering the 2005 Cannes Film Festival for French newspaper Le Monde eventually led me to documentary wedding photography, which has been my full-time career since early 2009.
After almost twenty years of living in London, I now live by the beach in Kent with my husband, Steve, another photographer, and our French Bulldog, Ozzy. I take on wedding commissions here in the UK and abroad.
